Nominations have concluded, and it is time to vote for the candidate you think would be the best Moderator. These are the attributes, as described by hyper in last year's election, of a staff member. Keep these things in mind as you choose your candidate.
Moderators
"Our staff are representatives of Protocol. Moderators are usually the first point of call for regular players and will greatly influence how Protocol is perceived.
Moderators have numerous responsibilities and receive very little in return. Don't think of the position as just another rank.
We expect our staff to be:
- Helpful. Moderators are there to help people, no matter how difficult or trivial the problem.
- Kind. A Moderator who is mean to players makes the server look terrible.
- Fair. Moderators should treat every player equally, no matter how much "everyone" likes or dislikes that player.
- Respectful. Moderators shouldn't be swearing all the time and should never insult players. That includes kick/ban messages.
- Honest. Often, we have to trust the word of a Moderator. How could we do that if they lie?
- Humble. A Moderator may have some extra powers, but they shouldn't think they're better than anyone else.
- Understandable. While it is not an English exam, Moderators should be able to string together readable sentences.
- Passionate. At times, being a Moderator can be decidedly un-fun. Only a person passionate about the server and Minecraft can deal with this.
Moderators are expected to demonstrate these qualities at all times. Also remember that staff are not allowed to PvP and should put helping others before their own activities."
Here are the candidates below. I encourage you to look at their posts which can be found on the Enjin profile. *Note* some did not accept their nomination, though I will assume they accept as they were active in the thread. However unlikely, if anyone intentionally did not accept and wishes to be excluded from the election, I will oblige.
Good luck to everyone!
