Retirement
Sorry for the lack of announcements, this is the busiest part of the year for me. Basically, I do not have time to look after Protocol. Also, as much as I hate to admit it, Minecraft the game does not really interest me much these days. I still love the Protocol community, but it is only fair to give leadership of the community to someone who has more time and more interest in the game.
Our fantastic admins are unfortunately unable to take on the leadership position their own personal reasons. As such, I've decided to make Ranrgamer the new leader of Protocol. Ranr has worked tirelessly behind the scenes for a long time. He is passionate about the community and I believe he will be a great Owner.
Appreciations
As my retirement post, I would like to take a moment to thank some people for their help over the past (almost) two years.
Firstly, I want to sincerely thank our admins, Juf and Spon, for all their hard work. It is not easy to be an Admin, particularly without access to the server; players expect you to know everything and fix everything when really it is all the Owner's fault.
Naturally, I'd also like to thank the various Moderators we've had in all the years of Protocol. Moderation is often a tiring, demoralising, thankless job that people do simply for the love of the community.
Continuing on the staff train, I have to thank Debilitation and InsaneSociety for creating Protocol and giving me the opportunity to moderator, administration and own it.
From the community, thank you to all the people who financially supported Protocol. Instead of giving that money to the many other servers, games and real-life products, you helped keep our servers and community going. Also, thank you to those who could not afford to support the community economically, but supported the server through promotion and helping others.
Lastly, thank you to every single community member for playing on Protocol. I've had a lot of fun playing with you and I hope you did too.
